Theme: Sustainable Development Goals in the Curriculum: locally responsive and globally engaged
Speakers: Dr Duane D Booysen is a Senior Lecturer and clinical psychologist at Rhodes University. He will speak on the topic: Psychological trauma and SDGs: Integrating curriculum, community and engaged research. Dr Sibhensana and Ms Matyobeni are staff members at the Rhodes University Community Engagement. Their presentation will focus on how higher education institutions can promote social innovation by forming diverse private-public partnerships involving communities and community-based organisations. Prof Rosa Klein is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Rhodes University. She is also the Divisional chair of Green Chemistry for the South African Chemical Institute. Prof Klein will speak on: Developing graduates as agents of change for sustainable development: curriculum change in Chemistry.
